According to the National Library of Medicine, the nursing profession continues to grapple with shortages attributed to insufficient educators, high turnover rates, and uneven workforce distribution. The Master of Science in Nursing with an Emphasis in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed) degree, offered as a 12-month asynchronous online program at South Florida Nursing College (SNC), addresses these challenges.

This advanced program is designed for nurses holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) who aspire to play a pivotal role in educating the next generation of nursing professionals. MSN-Ed graduates from GlobalTell College of Florida are well-prepared for positions in academic and healthcare settings, including roles as Nurse Educators and Curriculum Developers. The curriculum thoughtfully combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, ensuring that graduates are equipped to meet the evolving demands of nursing education. The MSN-Ed program is designed for nurses who aspire to roles in nursing education, leadership, and advanced clinical practice. Admission Requirements
The college will consider each applicant individually in relationship to the entire applicant pool, and select the best candidates for admission. The College reserves the right to limit the number of students admitted based on faculty and clinical resources. The College’s programs are taught in English.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING – EDUCATION CONCENTRATION (MSN ED.) PROGRAM
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with a minimum GPA of 2.5; or a bachelor’s degree in another field with a GPA of 2.5 for non-nursing graduates.
- TOEFL exam results for graduates of foreign BSN programs, if applicable.
- Current, unrestricted RN license valid in Florida.
- One year of nursing experience is documented on a current resume.
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions.
- Personal statement detailing career objectives.
- An interview with the Admissions Team.
- Mandatory completion of new student orientation
